The entire region boasts many different production areas IGT, DOCG, and more than thirty DOC, for a total of 14 several institutional wine routes.
The entire region is hilly, and has a mild climate thanks to the extensive coast overlooking the Ligurian Sea and the Tyrrhenian Sea.

In the territories of Livorno e Grosseto, with a milder climate thanks to the sea, are produced among others the Bolgheri Sassicaia, the Montecucco and l’Ansonica.
Meadow and its province, on the other hand, are famous for Holy wine and for the small DOCG del Carmignano. Among the white wines we remember the Vernaccia di San Gimignano, produced in a small area of Tuscany between Siena, Pisa and Florence.
